Resource description:
EPIC WebGIS is a digital infrastructure that integrates geospatial data and interactive mapping tools to support spatial analysis and translate scientific knowledge into informed decision-making. Established in 2013, it aims to facilitate the open and free sharing of geographically referenced data generated through research projects, making scientific knowledge accessible to a wide range of decision-makers and stakeholders. The platform is used by different types of stakeholders and reaches users across several countries.
Within the MOSAIC project, a dedicated module was developed to provide access to the spatial data and outputs produced for the Alentejo case study. The module brings together information on the regional characterisation of Alentejo, land suitability for crops and forestry, green infrastructure, current land use, and future land-use scenarios.
