WatchITgrow is an online platform to support growers to monitor arable crops and vegetables in view of sustainably increasing yields, both qualitatively and quantitatively. WatchITgrow uses various types of data starting with satellite data combined with e.g. weather data, soil data, IoT data and field data provided by the grower. These data are combined using new technologies such as big data analytics and machine learning to provide growers with more timely and personalized advice. WiG delivers currently: (a) objective and up-to-date crop-related data, (b) a clear overview of the status of the crops, (c) enabling the assessment to take specific and timely actions, (d) reduce potential production losses, (e) document the sustainable production, (f) collect and manage the farm data securely and digitally and (g) provide an automated damage assessment workflow for the agro insurance industry (e.g. KBC).
